ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! I love stuff by the Schaeffer's and Tozer is great. I love Karen Andreola and Ginger Plowman as well! Screwtape Letters is wonderful...really makes you think! I ALSO want to read the Elaine Cooper one! I thought I had a link to a FREE posting of it in online form, but it must have expired before I got to it.

I just finished Anne of the Ingleside by L.M. Montgomery. I LOVE it! Anne and Gilbert and all their kids...it is so sweet. I also am re reading A Charlotte Mason something? by Karen Andreola and re reading When Children Love to Learn by Susan Schaffer Maculay...I also just finished a very interesting book about Haiti by Phillipe Giraud.

ReplyDeleteI love to read, but I've not done a whole lot of it lately. I guess I just don't have any I am longing to read right now. For awhile, I had stacks (literally) waiting to be read, but I finally made it through them and I'm in a dry spell. :-( I read both Little Men and Lessons at Blackberry Inn last year.

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late to visit here, but I love your list. We have similar interests in books, so the ones off your list that I haven't read yet, I'll have to check out. :)
I gleaned quite a bit from "When Children Love to Learn" and I'm actually reading through "The Hidden Art of Homemaking" right now. It has given me lots to think about, specifically of how to use what God has given me to serve my family. I tend to think of myself as deficient in a lot of homemaking skills (sewing, quilting, crafts, etc.) but she talks about how we reflect God's creativity in lots of different ways.
Right now I'm halfway through "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers", written by Maria Trapp. So far, it's been fascinating.
Of course, I've already read 1,000 Gifts, too. :)
Are you getting antsy for spring yet? (Don't even tell me that you already have sunny, spring days! We got 12 inches of snow last night :P )
